It is semi-opaque to highly translucent aggregate of juxtaposed, very firmly inter connected, granular crystals. Jade is extremely tenacious and tough. Jade is available in an enormous range of colours, white, pink, lilac, brown, red, orange, blue, black and many shades of greet. It is used as a gem, cut into cabochons or enagraved stones for settings, beads on other ornaments. It is also made into different types of decorative ware or small sculptures.
